About Me
Ahoy there! I'm Nicolai Johannesen, a Danish-born software engineer with an insatiable appetite for adventure and a deep love for the ocean. Born in 1973, I've been on a lifelong journey of exploration and discovery that's taken me from the chilly waters of Scandinavia to the vibrant coral reefs of the Philippines.
My life has been a perfect blend of bits and bubbles. With a Master's in Multimedia Technology from IT-Universitetet i København and years of experience as a software developer, I've navigated the depths of both code and coral reefs. In 2010, I took the plunge (literally!) and moved to the Philippines, driven by my passion for scuba diving and marine biology.
Now, I call the island of Palawan my home, nestled against the West Philippine Sea. Here, I continue to explore the wonders of the underwater world while leveraging my tech skills to work on exciting projects that bridge technology, sustainability, and human potential.
